How do courses work?

Amerisave Learning Center online courses are offered online and are accessible from any computer with an Internet connection. Courses include two to six lessons and may also include quizzes and assignments. These courses have a start and end date, and the course lessons are all available between those two dates. Lessons, quizzes, and assignments remain available on our site 24/7 until the course end date. You can review all posted lessons at your own pace and at any time of the day. During an active course session, you may interact with your fellow students and your instructor via the course Message Board.

Where can I find a complete listing of the available courses?

The Amerisave Learning Center online courses home page lists all of the courses with active sessions in which you can enroll. To learn more about a course:

From the main page, click on the campus that interests you.
Click on the course title you are interested in to get an overview of the course that includes a course description, the instructor's objectives for the course, and the start and end dates for all available course sessions.

Where do the courses take place?

Courses take place online and are accessible from any computer with Internet access. The lessons are all available beginning on the course start date. Once a course has started, you are free to complete lessons when it is convenient for you. Just be sure to complete your lessons before the posted end date.

What is the advantage of taking an online course instead of a regular course or even buying a book to learn more?

Like a traditional course, an online course uses a collection of lessons, assignments, and quizzes to help you learn, as well as an instructor to guide your learning, but it is up to you to determine the time and place you attend course. You can take an online course when it is convenient for you, rather than organizing your schedule around course time. You also get personalized feedback from the instructor and the opportunity to chat with other students to gain more insight and information about the subjects that interest you.
